News from SemioticaStudio

Hello!

We hope you are well, in this world that is becoming more and more difficult. Despite the panorama, a few weeks ago we had the great opportunity to attend an important oasis of collaboration and thought, one of those that renews your energy: the face to face edition of Semiofest, in Porto, Portugal. In the photo, we are with our dear colleague and friend, Malex Salamanques, who was also a speaker there. (Chris Arning published an article with all the details of the talks and activities. You can read it here).

We continue to try to bring positive changes and good practices in our daily work, both from SemioticaStudio and in our charity and teaching projects. We believe that each one of us can always add something valuable to improve the difficult reality we live in.

We hope you all have projects that motivate you, and that you are turning your daily activities into something really meaningful.

Greetings from Barcelona and Buenos Aires,

Gabriela and Ximena

Ximena has recently published an article on a fundamental topic: “Communication for the energy transition”. She presented it in May, at Semiofest Porto.

You can get the open access full version  here.

Our colleague and friend Masha is organizing another fantastic activity in Ikaria, Greece, for the end of September. This year’s theme is powerful: “Semiotics of Humanity: Animals-People-Machines”, along the lines of the emerging field of biosemiotics. Here you have the information.

We continue to partner with Keep it up!, the online and in-person language school, which offers our subscribers special prices on English, Portuguese and even Chinese classes, adapted to the real needs of individuals and companies. Here is the link to contact them and tell them what you need. You can check their Linkedin profile here.

Lately, we have been working on:

* Face-to-face tours on food and eating habits in Brazil;

* Health and infections in Spain;

* Personal and hair care in Brazil;

* Future demand spaces in Argentina;

* Conceptions of beauty and skin care in Spain.

At SemioticaStudio, we help to understand the worlds in which clients and followers live, from the perspective of semiotics and cultural analysis. We work on the development of concepts, spaces, content and narratives.
