LILA Conference aims to discuss world languages both on the levels of specialized linguistic studies and interdisciplinary approaches.
The main subfields of linguistics such as phonetics, phonology, semantics, and syntax will present the center of the conference. In a time where societies, lifestyles, and technologies change at an unprecedented pace, studies on various languages as well as comparisons are welcomed to produce a contemporary understanding of languages.
The social aspects of linguistics, such as its political basis, the ideological implications, the preservation of the endangered languages will also be considered as an essential part of the focus of the conference. Pedagogy, translation, writing, and the impacts of new technologies, as well as cultural and psychological takes on languages through interdisciplinary lenses, will provide the necessary multilayered frame for the discussions. Etymology and history of languages will complement the comprehensive landscape of the conference topics.
We invite you to join us at the event and would like to emphasize that proposals from different parts of the world are welcomed.
